A Collected Architecture
(2013) Multichannel sound installation.
As part of the You Have Been Most Instrumental series. An investigation into how space may be articulated through its sonic properties. Both spacial and human elements are tracked and stressed as part of a site-specific engagement with a space through movement. The initial manifestation of this work was a collection of rubber bouncy balls ricocheting off a variety of surfaces in an enclosed space, thus articulating the physical constraints of the space, revealing the solid walls and different material objects through the sound of contact with the ball. This work has been re-exhibited both within the space it was originally recorded in, and out of context as an eight-part ‘round’ sound installation.
