Messages from the Mouth

Messages from the Mouth is an experimental film-essay by Bex Harvey and Adam Goodwin, made as part of a TOC (The Occasion Collective) commission at Durham Castle. The film explores character narratives that were developed throughout the TOC residency; based on social histories told, discovered and learned throughout our time there. It shows characters in their early stages of development, attempting to navigate the issues that derail them as contemporary makers or performers. The soundtrack features the piece  SLOW,  by musician Jamie Cook and features dancer and choreographer Megan Brown. Made in conjunction with the release and preview of SLOW was an exhibition catalogue, designed by myself, images courtesy of Adam Goodwin and featuring the work of Jamie Cook and James Pickering. We also created a limited edition run of T-shirts which were available to purchase on the opening night.
